I got this book to read for class and even the professor ended up not liking it! (The department made her use it.) The book is a "reader" type of book format - wise. Each chapter is a research - based writing related to many secondary education topics. It's a very dry, dull read. There are much better books out there on this topic. If you want to review research, better to just conduct your own research than read this book! The only thing it would be good for would be writing a research or term paper in college. This would put secondary level research articles at your fingertips.Lewis Henry
