For anyone interested in Celtic ancient history, mapping not only the stars, but the land, this very interesting book traces ancient settlements along a pre Roman road, that somehow we've forgotten and attributed to Rome. Of course, how did the Romans enter and conquer so efficiently without there having been a road there? This book should be part of a college course. He's a travel writer and a bicyclist; but it became very clear- laying out on land following the route of the constellation Orion, (The Hunter) was significant to ancient people. It's a fascinating explanation demonstrated by the Celtic names for locations on the way. Some are still part of the route- others bypassed when inconveniently located but those were aligned for journeying, and precisely laid out following the Celestial path. It's been over four years since I read it so, I wish I could say more. I will definitely read it again. The synchronicity that set him on this journey of discovery is what happens when we are sensitive, pay attention to what is around us. Brilliant.
