I am an medievalist so naturally I am obsessed with Eleanor and Henry the II. I enjoyed this book very much as it filled in gaps of my knowledge of Eleanor's life. I didn't find it too detailed and read it with great interest. She is my favorite female historical figure and I think she was a dynamic powerhouse to have accomplished all that she did. I heartily recommend it.
