I'm loving this pickup, although it's taking a little extra work to get it to play nice with my amp/pedals.It does those beautiful transparent bell-like neck pickup tones that I was looking for (at a fair price), and that's probably reason enough to get it. It is, however, thinner and more trebly than most, primarily due to the low output. I've needed to use the tone control to roll it off much more than I'm used to - but I'd rather have the extra treble and need to tame it, than never to have it at all.The other "problem" is the output is definitely in the low vintage range, around 5.5k ohms, and the Alnico magnets are lower output than ceramic, and the staggered pole pieces keep you from raising the pickup as close to the strings - all combined, it's noticeably cleaner and quieter than my other guitars (most of which have P90s and humbuckers), and needs the levels of the drive channels and pedals to be adjusted significantly more to remain balanced.
